My Story

I am Adriana Marisol Riz Morente, and it is a joy for me to introduce myself to you throuigh this. I hope you and your family are doing well. I am twelve years old. This year I am in fifth grade at school. I am taking face-to-face classes at school from Monday through Friday. Thankfully, I have done well in my studies so far. In the afternoons, I do my schoolwork and I help my mom with some chores at home. The time the feeding program was closed due to the pandemic, I missed a lot the tasty food from it. I am very happy because it is open again. For me to get there, it takes thirty minutes by walking. To earn a living, my father does farming work. He also sells chickens to raise and sell then in the local market. My mom stays home raising domestic animals. She also gets chickens to raise and sell then. And she also grows herbs to sell in the local market. The time my family and I enjoy being together, it’s the time we all go to the local market on Sunday. We do not usually celebrate Christmas, but we do celebrate New Year with all of our family, so on this day, we thank God for one more year granted.

At the moment, we are attending Prince of Peace Church at Zacualpa and thirty minutes form home. My parents are deacons in the church. We felt a little sad the time the church was closed due to the pandemic, so we seeked God and read the Bible at home. We own two-room house with separate kitchen. The house is made of mud-brick, the roof is made of clay roof tiles and the floor of granite. It has electricity and running water. The house condition is good. I take this time to thank to the feeding program for the grocery bags we received in difficult time due to the pandemic. Pandemic affected my family’s economically. My mom was not allowed to sell in the local market. I thank God for he was faithful to us and provided the necessary to us. Food supplies and cleaning items are a greatest need for us, so it was all a great blessing and help and met some food expenses at home. Thank you very much. God bless all of you greatly! At the moment, we are all doing well, thank God. To finish, I want you to know, my mom gave this information to an Evangelism team member to share with you my last news. I say good bye to you for now. Thank you for reading this. Hope to hear from you soon.

Lots of regards,

Adriana Marisol Riz Morente
