I greet you lovingly, hoping this update will find you well. I am your sponsored child Marvin, and I still attend the Catholic Church. My family and I usually attend mass on Mondays. God has been merciful with us all the time. Proof of that is that you are my sponsor, and I have received tasty food and gifts at the feeding program, which is a great blessing. The LW team also encouraged us to continue loving God while this collected this information for you. My father, Pedro Morente, is 48 years old. He still makes a living in the field, while my mother sells herbs in our community. Her name is Maria De La Cruz, and her age is 48. I want to ask for your prayers for her health since she has felt something strange in her belly, like a mass some years ago. She has not gone to the doctor because of our lower resources. Our necessities are many, but our current priorities are food supplies. To go ahead, we work hard at home by raising hens and sheep to sell and get an extra income. Besides that, we grow corn for our consumption.
Today, I work along with my father. I am doing my best in the field because I look forward to becoming a good farmer. Holy Week is my favorite time of the year because of the tasty bread with honey. I like drinking hot beverages, especially atol de masa (this is made of corn dough and sugar). Soccer is the most exciting sport, so I like it. I turned eighteen in January, but I could not celebrate it because of a lack of money. Despite this, I am grateful to the Lord because I am healthy. This is all for now, but I am glad because I shared my news with you. May God bless you for taking the time to read it!
With many special regards,
Marvin Danilo Morente De La Cruz
