My Story

Hello, my name is Francisca Hermelinda Morente De La Cruz. It is a pleasure to greet you again today and tell you about myself. I am 17 years old, and I am no longer attending school. I help at home with the housework and chores. My mother’s name is Maria de la Cruz Gomez, and she is a housewife. She works hard to take care of things at home. My father’s name is Pedro Morente Riz. He is a farmer, and he works hard as well to be able to provide support for my family. We also grow corn at home and raise chickens and cows for our own consumption. I would like to tell you that my mother is not well right now. She is struggling with pain in her feet as well as severe stomach pain and headaches. She is taking medicine for the pain, so we are praying she will get better soon. I also ask you to pray for my older brother who is currently working the capital city. We pray that he remains safe and healthy while he is living and working there.

My family and I have attended the Catholic church for many years. We are very grateful for the encouragement we receive from Living Water to continue seeking the Lord. We are also thankful for the blessings we have received through Living Water, such as the meals we receive at the feeding program every week. My favorite meal to eat there is the fried chicken.
