My Story

Hello! I send special greetings and I hope you are receiving many blessings from God! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Bethel Methodist Church, and we go on Sundays. This time LW staff shared the gospel with us and encouraged us to continue seeking God and trust our salvation in Him. We appreciate the spiritual support for us. My family and I are in good health, thanks to the Lord. My father is Sebastián Benito Calachij and he is 52 years old. He works as a farmer and day laborer to cover the needs of the family. My mother is Catarina Gomez Mendez, and she is 49 years old. She grows coriander, herbs, and husk tomatoes to sell. In addition, she raises hens and turkeys to sell. We grow corn for our consumption.

I am Hilda Elizabeth Benito Gomez, and I turn 14 years old in August of this year. I no longer attend school this year because of a lack of resources. For now, I spend my time helping with the household work. When I grow up, I would like to be a merchant and have my own business. The language I would like to learn is English; it is so interesting. My favorite drink is Coca-Cola which is delicious. Cycling is the sport I like the most. My family celebrates my birthday with a delicious cake; they make me feel so special. I like Christmas time because of the firecrackers; I light some of them and I have a lot of fun with my siblings. Being part of Living Water is a big blessing for me because I receive tasty meals and medical care in the clinics which is a big help for me and my family. My family needs are groceries, and corn.
