My Story

Hello! My name is Florinda Garcia Lopez, and I want to introduce myself to you through this letter. Before starting, let me tell you that my mom and I gave all this information to a member of the LW staff. Fortunately, I am a healthy 14-year-old girl. I am in seventh grade and have classes in the morning. I like helping my mom with the household chores. Therefore, I take advantage of weekends to do it. I am glad to be part of Adopt-A-Child. My family is grateful for this project because I can have tasty lunches. What I love the most is eating fried chicken. I like celebrating Christmas at LW because all the activities are engaging.

Now, I want you to know about my family. My father has been working hard in the United States for three years to send us his financial support. He still works in a poultry farm. My mom makes a living as a weaver to cover other needs at home. We raise hens and sheep to sell. We also cultivate a little corn for our consumption. We have attended Assembly of God Church for many years. Fortunately, my mom accepted Jesus many years ago. She was encouraged by a teacher of the LW evangelism team to continue trusting in our Heavenly Father. The Lord has always been faithful to us. Proof of that is there is nobody sick. I say goodbye to you for now, but I would love to count on your prayers to thank God for keeping my family and me well. In advance, thank you so much!

Kisses and hugs,

Florinda Garcia Lopez
