My Story

Hello! My name is Adelajda Skopeci, I am four years old and my birthday is on March 3rd. I am in good health. My favorite color is pink and my future dream is to study and become a doctor. At present I am frequenting the kindergarten and there I have made many friends. We spend the first part of the day in the kindergarten, learning from teacher and playing with the dolls that we share there between us. My grandmother or mother takes me home at midday and as soon as I eat my lunch, I go to play outside with my friends and cousins. We take our dolls outside and play in front of our homes. I enjoy coloring and for this reason, my older brother is drawing for me papers so that I can color them. When he is studying I sit by him and color. Together we also enjoy watching cartoons on the TV.

My family and I live in Katjel. My house offers appropriated living conditions to us. I have in my family five persons. My father’s name is Fatjon and my mother’s name is Blerta. My brother’s name is Fabion. He is 8 years old and frequents the third grade at school.

Fabion is also registered in the programme of Adopt a Child. My mother takes me and my brother to the church so that we can participate the Bible classes and the other activities. My grandmother lives in our house and she is part of our family. She is old and has retired from her previous job. She receives a small pension and my parents provide for her living needs. My father emigrates in Northern Macedonia for a few months during the year and there he is hired from the people in this country, doing different jobs, at times in construction and at other times in agriculture. He earns very less income working in Northern Macedonia for two months only, but we are happy that he has this opportunity. My mother and grandmother are working in our land. They have planted the vegetable garden and have provided tomatoes, peppers, onions and beans for consumption. They both work from spring till autumn in the garden and in the same time, they collect fruits from the trees as apples and plums and make for us juice and jam to consume during the winter. My parents have decided to keep no animals because they can’t provide for them the stock food needed, especially during the winter. We live with low income and are poor as family. We are very thankful to the Adopt a Child church for the help and care we are constantly receiving. God bless you!

The Living Water Adopt a Child church in Katjel meets for the service on Saturdays. The church organizes other meetings during the week for children, youth and adults to participate. On Mondays the church has a prayer meeting and on Wednesdays they have two meetings. A Bible class for children as well as a Bible study for the adults. On Friday two other meetings are also opened to join. A bible study for ladies as well as a Bible class for the children and teenagers. Once every six weeks, the children receive a package that contains food as oil, sugar, rice, pasta, etc. Every child receives this package coming along with one parent. At present, the children in the Bible classes are practicing for the Christmas concert. They will receive at Christmas an alternative gift provided for them.
