My Story

Hello, my name is Jimmy Francisco Guanija Gutierrez. I am 14 years old, and I am in third grade this year. Unfortunately, I have had to repeat this grade so I can learn better. On the weekends, I help my mom shepherd the sheep. Also, I love going to the feeding program. My favorite food to eat there is the fried chicken. The free meals, gifts, and medical services have been a huge blessing to me and my family. My mother’s name is Veronica Gutierrez Cuin. She makes and sells tamales on Sundays in the town. She also raises and sells chickens. My father is Jose Mariano Guanija Lopez. He works in a little shop in a town called Coban. He works very hard and supports the family with everything he earns. We also grow corn at home for the family. At the end of the year, we have a Christmas celebration at the program. My favorite part is the fun games we play. My family and I go to Prince of Peace Church. My mom was very grateful to receive a message of the gospel from the Living Water evangelism teacher. She felt reassured in her faith and what she believes. I have to say goodbye now, but I hope you have enjoyed reading about me. I hope you will keep my family and our health in your prayers.
