My Story

Hello, my name is Florinda Morente Ajqui. I am 21 years old now and I am no longer in school. During the day, I stay at home with my mom and help her shepherd the sheep and do the housework. On the weekends, I like to do some cleaning around the house and take care of the sheep. I love going to the feeding program each week. My favorite food to eat there is the fried chicken. As a family we have been blessed by the meals Living Water serves us and the free medicine when we go to the clinic. My family and I are in good health, praise the Lord. My father’s name is Davido Morente Ruiz. He is a farmer and day laborer. My mother is Juana Ajqui Riz. She stays at home as a housewife. She grows broccoli, cilantro, and a type of pumpkin called ayote. She usually sells some of the crop and we keep some of it for ourselves.

We also raise chickens and sheep to sell. I love the Christmas celebration we do because we receive a beautiful gift and candies. Unfortunately, my family does not attend a church. My mother was encouraged by a Living Water teacher who shared the gospel with her and reminded her of the personal choice of accepting Jesus as Savior.  I thank you for reading my information and I ask you to keep the wellbeing of my family in your prayers.
