Hello! Thank you for reading my update information. I am Thelma Elizabeth, and I am 13 years old. This year I am repeating 4th grade, and I am attending school three days per week. I hand in my homework to my teacher in those days. When I forget or I do not understand what my teacher explains to me, it is very difficult to do the homework. I try to help with the duties at home in my spare time. I missed attending the feeding program, especially the food the team served us. Fortunately, the program is open again. I walk for one hour to get to the program. My father works as a farmer and day laborer; he is the one who supplies our home needs. My mother is a housewife, and in addition, she weaves typical blouses to sell and help herself economically. Thanks to the Lord, we are healthy.
At home, we do not celebrate Christmas due to lack of resources. My family and I like to spend good time together; we occasionally share some snack in the afternoon. We attend Church of Christ and walk one hour to get there. During the pandemic, we were attending church and praying, and currently, we are having normal services. We are living in the house of an uncle, and we are not paying for rent. There are two rooms and a separate kitchen. Those are made of adobe, tin sheets roof and cement floor. We have running water and electricity. Fortunately, the house is okay. Unfortunately, this pandemic is still affecting us because it is very difficult to get a job in our village. My family and I are so grateful to Living Water because they blessed us with food parcels during the pandemic which were really helpful to us since they covered our main needs. At home, our principal needs are groceries and corn. To finish, I want to let you know that the LW team called us and asked for this updated information, so my mother provided it to them over the phone. I hope to receive news from you soon. Every blessing for you!
