Hello! My name is Amadea Kllogjri. I am 14 years old and my birthday is on February 8th. I am doing well and enjoy good health. I just finished the seventh grade in July. My favorite classes this year were language and math. This will be helpful to me in the future because I want to be a teacher. I help my mother with the cooking or wash the dishes. I also help my mother with other things that have to do with the housekeeping. I like to get together with my friends and play volleyball, we also like to play outside when whenever we can.
My family and I live in Katjel. We have got a good home with two stories that is recently built. My family contains five people. I have my father whose name is Yqemet, my mother whose name is Lavdie and I have one brother whose name is Seldi. He is 9 years old and finished the fifth grade at school, in the same school where I also attend. In our village, we all have got one school we frequent, starting from the first grade till the ninth grade. My father is trying his best to find a job he is able to work in different places for short period of times. At times he works in the lands of the people of the village, at other times, he finds a job in the town to do maintenance or construction jobs, but these jobs are only lasting for a short period of time and he is not fully hired. My mother does the housekeeping and will be busy with the vegetable garden. My parents try to plant as much produce in the field as possible so we have enough food to last a while. Unfortunately, the land doesn’t give very much even though they try their best. We are also raising chickens to sell, so hopefully that helps with my dad not working full time. I like to attend the Bible classes and learn about God. My brother is also frequenting the program. My father and mother are not believers and they seem to be not interested to hear about the faith in the Lord.
The Living Water Adopt a Child team is having three meetings during the week at our church center in Katjel. On Wednesdays the adults and youth meet for their Bible classes, while the children and ladies meet on Friday for their respective Bible studies. After the Bible classes, the children stay a bit longer to spend time playing and having fellowship. The church service in Katjel is every Saturday. Every month the children who are in the program of Katjel receive a food package containing ingredients that are cooked at home. The package contains food items such as: sugar, rice, oil, pasta, etc. (items that can be cooked and can cover ten to twelve meals for the whole family). For the first time, this year the church of Katjel is having children summer camps where participants will enjoy a great time playing different games, enjoying meals together, and taking Bible classes. Thank you for supporting the children, your generosity is a great help in meeting the spiritual and physical needs of the whole community.
