My Story

Special regards from Chixocol village! I hope this letter finds you blessed, prosperous, and victorious in the holy name of Jesus. By means of this, I want to give you thanks for trusting in the labor that LW-Adopt A Child does by providing medicine, dental care, and food. I am Linda Esmeralda Torquis Pastor and I have attended the feeding program for about one year. Besides having my meals, I like participating in the bible classes because they help me to learn more about God. My mother enrolled my brother and me there because she used to go there alongside her siblings when they were children. She remembers that they had joyful moments alongside other children. Thankfully, she is a healthy housewife and keeps busy taking care of our family. She also raises chickens for occasional sales. I am 11 years old and attend the fourth grade at school. I am in good health and when I come back from school, I usually help my mother to clean our house.

Between cold and hot weather, I prefer cold because the air turns refreshing and that is perfect to walk and get to school. I tell you that I am so happy because my father returned from the United States. Nowadays, he is doing well and makes a living by digging river sand to sell. We attend church and praise the Lord by singing. We are members of a Methodist Church and I like attending the Sunday bible school. When I grow up, I would like to serve there by teaching the bible to children. I tell you that sister Lizeth (a member of the LW evangelism team) recently encouraged my whole family, through my mother to keep going in our faith. My mother has assurance of her salvation through Jesus since she received Him as her Lord and Savior. Please pray that God keeps us healthy and prosperous.
