My Story

Kind regards from the beautiful Guatemalan mountains. I am so excited to share with you how my family and I have been doing throughout this 2026. But first, thank you so much for making it possible for me to receive food and Christmas gifts from LW-Adopt A Child with your donations. This is Marleny Ajqui Garcia and I am 7 years old. I like attending the feeding program because I can learn about Jesus through the bible; what I like the most is praying. I am in first grade and when I come back home, I help my mother with some chores and do homework. I like the cold weather because I love dressing warmly. About health, I tell you that my whole family and I are keeping well.

My father works hard as a farmer and day laborer to provide us with the essentials. On the other hand, my mother is dedicated to taking care of my older sister and me. She also raises chickens and pigs to sell and uses her income to contribute to the expenses. I tell you that brother Hercules (a member of the LW staff) recently asked my mother about her salvation. She told him that she accepted Jesus in her heart some years ago and since then, she has tried to do things according to God’s will. He congratulated and encouraged her to continue trusting in Jesus. We attend the Pentecostal Prince of Peace Church and what we enjoy the most during services are prayer and worship time. I would like to have the privilege of serving God by singing. It is time to say goodbye, but I hope you found this letter engaging.
