My Story

Good morning, I hope you are doing well when my letter reaches you. My name is Catarina Roxana Chingo Morente and I want to tell you that my mother is grateful for the support and delicious meals I get in the Feeding Center. She enrolled me last year because she heard about the meals and the word of God they offer for free. I like to sing in the Bible Classes. I want to tell you that we continue attending the Prince of Peace Christian Church and we want to go because the leaders like to pray for us, and they are also present in our spiritual life. I would like to participate in the praise team.  We believe that Jesus is our savior, and he is the way and the life. We will be in heaven someday. My mother was encouraged by the LW teacher to continue seeking God and he also prayed for my family and our health.

My mother dedicates her time to the family and household duties. She raises and sells her hens, sheep and pigs to earn extra money, and now, my stepfather is the only one that sustains us financially. He is a farmer and day laborer and he has lived with us for two years. My mother and stepfather are doing well. I help my mother with some chores. I love cold weather because I go out to do some errands and I am able to stay fresh. I am 8 years old and unfortunately, I am repeating the first grade. By the grace of God, I am in good health.
