My Story

Hello, everybody! My heart is overjoyed for having the opportunity to greet you through this letter. In this opportunity, I want to start by expressing how grateful my family is for all that LW-Adopt A Child has done for many children in my town. This charity organization has provided spiritual guidance, food, and medical care, which motivated my grandparents to enroll me. I am Mario Rene Alexander Ramirez Perez and I am 13 years old. I have attended the feeding program for about two years. What I like the most is listening to the Bible message that the evangelism team prepares for me before I have lunch. I am in seventh grade, and fortunately, I am in good health. The cold weather is more comfortable than hot, so I like it. I usually run errands and clean the dining table to help my grandmother.

I have lived with my grandparents for a long time since my mother has another family. She is doing well and makes a living as a waitress. She occasionally helps me with a little money. My grandfather is doing well and earns his own income by painting houses or doing whatever tasks he finds in order to support our family. On the other hand, my grandmother keeps busy doing the chores and taking care of me. She suffers from diabetes and hypertension, but she receives medical assistance at the public health center. My grandparents have done all their best to cover my needs, especially education. However, it has been difficult, but we believe that God will help us to move forward as He has always done. Could you please pray for us?

My family and I attend the Power of God’s Word Church, and the unity and having an active participation by singing during the services motivates us to persevere. My grandmother has assurance of going to heaven because she is God’s daughter and was forgiven. She is always looking for him and serve him by doing different tasks at church. We are grateful to brother Juan Carlos (a member of the LW staff) because he recently prayed and shared a verse of the Bible with my grandmother and me as an encouragement to continue persevering. He took advantage of the opportunity to collect all this information to let you know about me. It is time to say goodbye, but I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely yours,

Mario Rene Alexander Ramirez Perez
