My Story

Hello and greetings. My name is Eljona. I am thankful to you for reading my story.

I am doing well and enjoy good health. My favorite color is pink. In my clothes, I like to pick dark colors. My future dream is to study and become an architect. I see myself drawing beautiful buildings and seeing them to completion. I frequent school here in my town and enjoy learning. I do my best to study and do well at school. The subject I like to study the best is English. I am happy we have English lessons in our school because this language is good for communication, especially in our town. I return from school around midday and as soon as I am in the house, I like to help my mother while she is laying our dinning table. After meals I collect and wash the dishes for her. I like to spend the rest of my free time reading. I enjoy spending time to read as well as paint. Painting makes me relax, especially after I study and complete the school homework. Since we live in the town, from time to time, my family and I like to go out for walks. I enjoy sitting in the park for a while to get fresh air and why not, consume a chip, a drink and other desserts. My family of four persons live in the town. I have my father, mother as well as a younger brother. We go to the same school together and I care for him while we are there. He is not doing too good on his health. So far, the doctors have not given to him medicine, but we bring him to see the doctors twice every year. My father is working in construction, but he is not working as a hired person full time. He goes here and there, as required to join friends who ask him to work together with them. Working in construction he will normally get a good income, but he works too less and from time to time not at all. This puts us to be financially challenged. My mother is a housewife. She is not working but on the other side, doing the housework is tiring for her. She does all cleaning, cooking, washing and goes shopping. My mother is also carrying very much for my brother. I help her too a bit, but she is way too busy around the house. I am very happy that I could get registered in the sponsorship program of Adopt a Child. I have frequented the church together with my mother and brother and we are very happy to have this opportunity. We will soon start to benefit same as the other children help in food and we are excited that this way, we can have more food for our family. My brother and I go to the Bible classes of the church and we enjoy learning about the Lord Jesus and how we can trust in him to be the Lord of our lives.
