My Story

It is a pleasure to greet you. My name is Adolfo Omar Garcia Ruiz, and I am 9 years old. I attend school in the 2nd grade. In my free time I love playing soccer. I attend the Living Water feeding program each week and I love the delicious meals they serve. My favorite is the fried chicken. I also love the Christmas celebration we do at the end of the year. The best part is when we get a beautiful Christmas gift and a lot of candies. Living Water has been a huge blessing to us through the meals and medicines they provide. I want to tell you a little bit about my family. My dad’s name is Pedro Garcia Simaj. He works as a construction helper to support my family. Unfortunately, he is struggling with back pain, but thankfully, he is taking medicines for the pain. My mom’s name is Juana Riz Morente. She stays home and makes typical style belts for the Guatemalan women’s typical suit. It is called a faja típica. She also raises chickens and goats to sell, so she can make some extra money. At home we grow corn that we can eat or use for ourselves. As a family, we attend the Catholic church, as we have for many years. I ask you to pray for the health and wellbeing of my family and for God’s provision over us. I thank you for reading about me today. I hope you receive many blessings in your life.

With much love,

Adolfo Omar Garcia Ruiz
