My Story

Hello! how are you?  This is your sponsored child Pedro Mejia Gonzalez and I want to tell you that my mother heard about LW Adopt-A-Child and the meals, medicine and benefits for free. So, she decided to enroll me in the Feeding Center five years ago. She is grateful for every support and I enjoy praying in my Bible classes.

I am grateful to God because I am in good health. I prefer hot weather because I like to play in the river. I help my mother to wash the dishes. I am ten years old and unfortunately, I am repeating the 3^rd grade. I live with my maternal grandparents, and my uncles and cousins live with me and share the expenses with my mother. As you know, she lives and works in the United States. She is the only one that sends money for us monthly. She earns a living by working in a chicken`s farm and she also calls us every two days. She lives with my stepfather and they are doing well. My grandfather is a farmer and my grandmother does the chores at home, but they are not covering my expenses. Thankfully, they are in good health.

We believe in God and we like to attend the Catholic Church. We feel encouraged to seek God because of the songs which are beautiful. We are assured to go to heaven because we have Jesus in our hearts. The LW teacher prayed for our family and encouraged my grandmother to continue following the good way.
