My Story

PENDING PHOTO 2025

Hello! This is Gregoria Toj Riz, and I want to update you about my latest news. Thankfully, I am a healthy 12-year-old girl. I am in fourth grade. After classes, I help my mom with the chores at home. Even though Christmas is a beautiful time to spend with loved ones, it has been a sad experience for my whole family and me because my father is far away from us. He has been in the United States for about four years. However, I have been able to feel God’s presence with us because my mom prays with my siblings and me. It helps us because we find comfort in the Lord. We do not attend any church at the moment, but we have heard nice sermons about Jesus on the radio. So, I know Jesus is God’s son.

My mom used to attend a church before getting married. She knows many stories from the Bible and tells us about them. Recently, a teacher from the LW evangelism team shared the gospel and encouraged us to attend church, so I ask you to pray for us. My whole family is healthy. Despite the distance, my father does his best to keep in touch with us. He told us that he still works as a gardener. My mom works hard at home by doing the chores. She also raises and sells hens, pigs, and cows to earn a little income and cover some expenses at home. I identify with her because she has a strong personality. She was delighted to help me write this letter when I asked her. Now, let me tell you about my best friend, Maria. She is a great friend and I met her about three years ago. We like playing freeze tag during recess time. I say goodbye to you now, but I hope this letter finds you well.

With love,

Gregoria Toj Riz
