My Story

Hello! My name is Ledion Collaku. I am 8 years old and my birthday is on April 3^rd. I am doing well and enjoy good health. Since I like all colors and enjoy nature, I have not a preferred color. My future dream is to study and become teacher. I like to become same as my sister who is taking such good care of me while I frequent school for the first part of my day. I go to the school every morning together with my mother and meet with the friends of my class. I enjoy learning and my favorite subject is Mathematics. After school and learning, my friends and I stay for a bit longer playing and enjoy a good time. My favorite game that we play at school is football. I have not a lot of friends in my neighborhood and spend quite a lot of time inside the house. After studying, I am allowed to take the phone of my mother and play games online or watch YouTube. I also watch programs for children on television. I have come to live in town from the villages of Upper Mokra. My mother and I live in the house of my grandparents from my father. My father has died and my mother has chosen to live as widow, together with my grandparents. She has dedicated her whole life to me. We are very poor and have no income, besides the pensions of my grandparents, so they are providing out of their pensions from our living. My father has died three years before and since from that time and on, our family has been very challenged. I have not received any special pension or care as orphan from the government. Living in the town is different. I enjoy going for walks and enjoying things that were not possible in the village. Still, I will miss life in the village and my time spent there. I frequent the sponsorship program together with my mother. Every six weeks, I receive a food package from Adopt a Child. I go to the Bible classes in the same time that my mother stays for the church service and we both enjoy Biblical education. Thank you for your support and care.
