Hello! This is Jazmine Rosmery Luis Portuguez and I fondly write this letter to share with you a little about my life. I am grateful to God for keeping me with good health. I am 12 years old and I attend the sixth grade at school. I have attended the feeding program for about eight years. Besides having delicious meals, I can attend the bible classes; what I like the most is prayer time. My mother is grateful for all the support that LW-Adopt A Child has given to many children in need. She enrolled me there because she wanted me to receive medical attention and food as she did when she was a child. The thing that she enjoyed the most was participating in the youth group guided by the LW evangelism members. Today, my mother is a busy housewife and works hard by washing clothes for other people while I am at school. She strives to contribute to the expenses, but she is not doing well. She has suffered from nerve disturbances for a while, but she is already under medical treatment. When I stay home, I usually help her with the chores.
The main provider of our family is my father. He is doing well and works in a convenience store in Zacualpa town. About our spiritual life, I tell you that we are members of the Christian Church God is Love. We feel encouraged to attend the services because everybody sings with joy. There is a reflection moment, and they organize nice activities. My mother is assured about her salvation because she accepted Jesus in her heart. She says that being a good person and trusting in Jesus Christ are meaningful ways not to lose the grace of being saved. Brother Hercules (a member of the LW evangelism team) recently encouraged her to keep going. She took advantage of that opportunity to ask for prayers for her health situation. So please join us in praying for her healing. To end this letter, I tell you that I prefer hot weather rather than cold because I like going for walks. Until next time!
Special regards,
Jazmine Rosmery Luis Portuguez
