My Story

I fondly greet you, hoping the grace of the Lord be with you. This is your adoptive Guatemalan girl, Diana Marielos Matias Alquijay. I am 12 years old and I am in fourth grade. My best friend’s name is Marta. I met her two years ago at school. We like eating a snack during recess. I want to share that I took a trip with my school to a fantastic place called IRTRA in the city. That was the most exciting and impactful experience I have had. By the grace of the Lord, everything went well during the trip. I am so grateful to the Almighty because my whole family and I are healthy. I get along well with my siblings, but I identify with my sister Aracely. I love and admire her so much.

I also admire my father because he works hard to cover our needs. He makes a living by carrying people or heavy packages in his pedicab (a bicycle with three wheels with a covered seat in front for passengers). While he works, my mom keeps busy doing the chores and taking care of my siblings and me. We do not attend church at the moment, so a member of the LW staff encouraged my mom and me to do it again. She shared the gospel and invited us to attend Liberty church too. Thank you so much for reading my letter! I will leave you now, but I hope the Lord blesses your life today and always.
