My Story

it is a great pleasure to greet you through this letter. My name is Rolando, and I want to share with you a little about my life. I no longer attend school; I only passed my 6th grade last year. I now work as a farmer or day laborer; I cover my own expenses with the money that I earn. I identify a lot with my dad because he has a strong character. My family raises and sells hens to improve the income, but when they die due to an illness, it is hard for us because it affects us financially. When it happens, we pray to God, and He provides us the resources to buy other chicks. For me, Jesus is God’ son, and He is always ready to save and help those who need Him.

One of my siblings is in the United States, and he is working in a cattle farm. He is in good health, and he is the one who supports the whole family. For that reason, my father now only works in his own crops. My mother grows tomatoes for selling, and she also looks after our domestic animals. Thankfully, my parents are both healthy. We are members of the Catholic Church, and we love the vigils and the special masses celebrated for the town’s fair. We trust in God, and we are secure in our Salvation. My mother helped me with this letter, and I hope you find it interesting.

Many blessings
