My Story

Hello! My name is Leon. I am 16 years old, and my birthday is on November. I am doing well and my health is good. My favorite color is black, speaking about devices like mobile phones, or tablets. I also like to be dressed in dark sport outfits and uniforms, while I am at school or when I play outside with my friends. My future dream is to become a police officer. I go to school in tenth grade and enjoy the time I spend there with my school friends and classmates. I enjoy learning and I also enjoy playing after school for a few hours with my friends from school. My favorite sport to play is football and we play this game at the school field of the school. We play this game also when we attend the youth meetings of the program. I am growing up and as much as I grow up, as much I understand the importance of helping in my family where I can be most of being a help. I help my mother do things around the house. I also help her when she waters the vegetables she just planted in our garden. I have a younger brother, and I look after him while he plays out with his friends. I also spend time with him when he studies his school for school. Our family lives in a village near the town of Perrenjas. We go to this town often, especially during weekends, when they have the open market day. My family consists of five members who are my parents, older brother, younger brother and I. Our house is in good condition. We are not too poor compared to some other families in our village, but again, we live with low income and living in the village is harder compared with living in town. My father, same as last year worked this year in Greece. He works doing different jobs, according to the season, so he is a season in Albania and the next season working. We are happy he works in Greece and provides income to our family. My father has his car to use to reach to Greece and he uses his own car when he goes working. When he is in the village, he takes our family to different towns that are close and we are happy to be out of the village for a change. My older brother is also a big help in our family, working where he can and doing his best to provide for himself and our family. My mother recently planted vegetables in our garden. At present, the vegetables need to be watered more often, till they grow and are ready for consumption. This year the trees are also productive, and we hope the weather stays good till they bear fruit. My brother and I go to the program together and we receive food provision constantly. The food provision is blessing for us and our family and a big help to us all. I enjoy going to the Bible classes and learning about the love of God for us. I am happy that we have also a dental appointment which is offered free from Adopt a Child to us. Thank you from my heart for everything you do and God bless you.
