My Story

Hello! My name is Xhemile Hysa. I am 16 years old and my birthday is on July 25th. I am doing well and my health is good. My favorite color is black and my future dream is to become teacher. I go to the town of Prrenjas to attend the high school and I am in second grade. My friends and I use transportation to go to school and back. I enjoy learning and I also like sports, so during the physical education that we do at school, I am very active. I like to spend my free time in the village, with my friends. We meet and have walks around, speaking and fellowshipping for a while. I spend many hours inside the house and after I study, I like to help my parents while they work in our vegetable garden. I also do most of the cleaning and cook sometimes when my mother feels too tired after working. I have an older sister who is suffering from epilepsy, and I keep an eye on her all the time, carrying for her while she does her daily activities, like going out to meet with her friends, etc. My sister is 20 years old. I have also a younger brother who is 14 years old. I help him too, while he studies his lessons and makes his school homework.

I and my family live in a village that belongs to the community of Prrenjas. We go to this town on weekends to do shopping, plus that I go there every day to take the lessons in the school there. Our family contains five members, who are my parents, older sister, me and my younger brother. We own land and in a small portion we planted vegetables. Actually we cover them with plastic so that they are not damaged from hit or rain, and this way, our land has turned to be something like a green house of vegetables. We are able to sell some vegetables in the market to gain profit out of dealing with this job, but the amount has been very less. My father has been challenged to go and work in Greece for a season and there he usually gets hired to collect olives from trees. My mother is doing her best to work in the land besides being busy with things around the house, that have to do with housekeeping. My siblings and I attend the program regularly and they like to learn about the Lord in the Bible classes of the church. After their classes we have lots of different activities and have lots of fun there, with the other friends that we have from the program. Our family receives three food packages constantly from the program and we are blessed with this kind of help given to our family. Thank you for the spiritual and physical care you offer to us and God bless you!
