My Story

This is Christopher Alexander Quinonez Najera, and I am writing this letter to update you about my family and me. Unfortunately, my mom passed away due to respiratory failure on July 23. Please pray for my youngest brother and me so the Lord comforts our hearts and gives us peace. Let me tell you that we will be under the care of Julio Cesar Quinonez Najera, my uncle. He is in good health and makes a living as a security guard in Antigua. His wife, Nancy Yaneth Lopez Hernandez, will take care of us. She is also healthy and works as a domestic employee in Antigua. While they work, their oldest daughter takes my brother and me to school. I am 14 years old, and I am in fifth grade. I attend school in the morning. I have not gotten sick. I try to be optimistic and brave for my youngest brother. I like playing football with my friends and riding my bike on weekends.

I am grateful to you for loving my family and me despite of the distance. You have blessed me so much with delicious food through LW-Adopt a Child. I like having Bolognese spaghetti for lunch at the feeding program. It would be an engaging experience to help the LW staff as a volunteer. Last year, I celebrated Christmas there. I enjoyed all the activities! To end this update, I want you to know that LW has encouraged us to seek God and continue attending our Church. We are members of the Catholic Church in our town. I say goodbye to you now but thank you so much for your prayers. I trust God will help us to move forward.
