My Story

I am Ashly, and I am excited to share my last news with you through this letter. Let me tell you that my family and I do not attend church at the moment. Nevertheless, I am grateful because the LW staff shared the gospel with me. They took advantage of that moment to collect this information for you. This project is so important in our community because of the tasty lunches that we receive. My mother, Iris Jerez, is 38 years old. She keeps busy doing the chores and looking after our seven chickens. My father works hard to support our family by digging river sand to sell. His name is Mateo Toledo, and he is 41 years old. I prefer my parents focus on the school necessities of my youngest brother. Therefore, I am not attending school, but I was in sixth grade last year. I would like to continue studying, but I need to get a job to cover all the bills I will need to develop myself as a professional.

I would like to become a doctor someday, so I would like to count on your prayers to accomplish it. At home, there are two people who have some health issues, but they are stable. The rest of my family and I are doing well. My favorite season is summer because of beautiful tourist places like San Jose port. I like drinking water and my favorite sport is soccer. If someday I would have the opportunity to study a new language, I would like to learn how to speak English. I am sixteen years old and my next birthday will be in November. I love celebrating it because my family prepares a delicious and special lunch for me. I leave you for now, but I thank you so much for taking the time to read my information. I hope to hear your news soon.  May God bless you richly!

Cordiality yours,

Ashly Yojana Toledo Jerez
