Chixocol
Guatemala
Child
Hello, my name is Josue Ismael Gutierrez Panjoj. I hope you are doing well. I am 13 years old, and I live in a town called Chixocol. I am no longer studying in school since the cost to go to continue to the next level of school was too much for my family. Now, I work as a construction helper. I enjoy going to the feeding program each week to eat a delicious meal. Living Water has blessed me and my family greatly through these meals. My favorite thing to eat at the program is the beef stew. I also love the Christmas celebration we do at the end of the year, because we do fun dances. I want to tell you a little bit about my family. My mother’s name is Josefa Panjoj Aguilar. She is a housewife. She does not make any money, but she works hard taking care of the housework and chores. My father’s name is Francisco Gutierrez Toj. He is also a construction worker, and he works hard to support my family. My mother, unfortunately, has been struggling with high blood pressure, but she is going to the doctor regularly and taking medicine, thank God. At home we grow corn and raise chickens and pigs. We do not sell the animals or the corn, but we keep it for our own use. My family and I attend the Church of God and my parents are faithful. They are sure of their salvation. Our prayer is that we will continue in good health and that God’s provision will be over our lives as a family. I hope you have enjoyed reading about me today. I say goodbye now and I wish you many blessings from God.
With much love,
Josue Ismael Gutierrez Panjoj
